Tonga
One of the Pacific Islands most fantastic destinations is the islands of Tonga. The capital is Nuku'Alofo on the island of Tongatapu and this is where many of the Tongan resorts are located as well as being the port of entry. Tongatapu lies towards the south of the group. In the north are the islands of the Vava'u group which also is a popular tourist destination with great resorts and a fantastic bare Boat charter industry. These islands are all surrounded by beautiful coral reefs and lagoons and beautiful sandy beaches adorned by forests of coconut palms create that special island ambience. Tonga is the ideal destination if you like fishing, diving or swimming with the huge humpback whales that migrate into the region.
